Discontinuation of diaconal service 

The Northern Catholic Church informs the faithful that Bishop Ottar Mikael Myrseth, the ordinary of our Church, by his canonical letter dated July 2, 2026, has immediately revoked the ecclesiastical service authorizations of Deacon János Czifra.

According to the bishop’s decision, the probation period that began on Ash Wednesday has ended, and as a result, it has been determined that János Czifra is not suitable for the diaconal service and no longer enjoys the trust necessary to perform this service. Consequently, all authorizations for diaconal service performed on behalf of the Northern Catholic Church have been terminated.

Based on the decision, János Czifra is not authorized to perform pastoral service, preach, or carry out other duties arising from the diaconal office on behalf of the Northern Catholic Church. The decision took effect immediately.
